| Consulting with the community
Telecommunications systems are vital to our business and social lives but we recognise that it is essential that the masts that make our phones work are designed and sited to keep visual impact to a minimum.
This new tool builds on Vodafone’s best practice consultation methods, and whilst we are aware that not everyone has access to a computer, it will make these proposals available to a wider audience. Please note that conventional consultation activities will not be curtailed and information will sent by post on request.
Consultation conducted in relation to the new proposal:
January 2006
Pre-application Consultation is started by Patrick Farfan Associates to Liverpool City Council proposing a new scheme of 3 face-mounted antennas and the repositioning of O2 equipment.
January 2006
Ward Councilors and local residents are consulted on the new proposal.
October 2006
After responses from those consulted and comments made, Vodafone UK instructed the creation of this VR-model to help aid in the visualisation of the proposal and redevelopment of the telecommunications installations on the Old Cinema.
December 2006
Liverpool City Council, Ward Councillors and local residents are notified of the website and a press notice advertising the proposal and website are placed in the local press.
January 2007
Patrick Farfan Associates, on behalf of Vodafone hopes to submit a planning application for determination to Liverpool City Council for the proposal shown on the VR-model.
Feedback is important to Vodafone and your views and suggestions will be carefully considered. Please use the feedback facility to make your views about our proposals and about the website itself known to us.
