	As part of the regeneration of Sheffield Hallam University, Vodafone has been requested and agreed to remove its current rooftop installation on the university campus building. Due to the extensive re-development of the building Vodafone will no longer be able to house their equipment upon it once work has been completed. Vodafone currently provides vital coverage to businesses and the public in the busy Nether Edge area of Sheffield from their telecommunications installation on top of Sheffield Hallam University. Vodafone have been working with Sheffield City Council and the landlords of The Henry Hall Building to provide a sympathetic and suitable design that will provide replacement coverage within the area once the existing equipment has been removed. The current site provides excellent coverage to a good area of this part of the city due not only to the location but also its height. The loss of the current installation would create a hole in mobile coverage if not replaced. In order to provide good coverage Vodafone have found this replacement site. The Henry Hall Building has been designated as a building of local historic merit, though not a listed building and is located within the Nether Edge Conservation area. In order to undertake any works Vodafone must apply to Sheffield City Council for planning permission.
